City Manager Gerald Seeber oversees the day to day management of the City and its departments, Administration, Development Services, Finance, Fire, Human Resources, Information Technology, Police, Public Works, Recreation and Parks. The City has three fire stations and two potable water treatment facilities.The Solid Waste Division's main objective is to ensure that City of Oviedo Residents receive a high quality of Solid Waste Collection Services (garbage, yard waste, and recyclable collection). Animal control

The licensing of pets and other pet services such as spaying and neutering and adoption of animals can be accomplished through Seminole County Animal Services Division. The Animal Services Division’s animal shelter is located at 232 Bush Boulevard in Sanford, Florida at the Seminole County Five Points Operations Center. Bush Blvd. comes directly off of US HWY 17-92 in Sanford across the street from Flea World. Fire

The City of Oviedo Fire Rescue was established in 1947 with a contingent of citizens and became a full time professional department in 1981. The department provides Advanced Life Support services and patient transportation to area hospitals. Oviedo Fire Rescue participates in a county wide First Response system. The department has been awarded an ISO Class 2 rating and operates from three fire stations within the City. The department has acquired over $ 491,000.00 in federal, state, and local grants.
